Package includes flexi-time, 26 days annual leave and generous pension
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Mid Beds District Council for a
committed individual to champion and manage the Council’s Gazetteer system.
The Council has under its jurisdiction in excess of 60,000 properties and
the Gazetteer underpins our commitment to providing the definitive property
knowledge base for the district. On this basis it is critical for the
system to hold 100% accurate street and address information for easy access
by Council Officers and the general public.
To undertake this role, you will have 5 years knowledge and experience of
working with street and property data in a Local Government environment or
other relevant backgrounds. You must also have experience of Windows XP and
Microsoft Office applications. Some knowledge of GIS systems would be
beneficial.
You will be a resourceful self-starter, take a logical, methodical
approach, with excellent communication skills (both oral and written). You
will also possess a full driving license and be fully mobile.
This post is currently based at Ampthill but will be relocated to new
purpose built offices near Shefford during 2006.
