12 month contract (possibly extension – subject to funding)
Based in Chicksands, Shefford in Bedfordshire
Salary £26,205 – £31,031 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Mid Beds District council for a
committed individual to champion and manage the Sharing Community Related
Information in Bedfordshire Electronically (SCRIBE) system.
The SCRIBE system is a ground breaking partnership project in Bedfordshire
which is trying to tackle the fear of crime. When launched later this year
the system will show crime data spatially and enable citizens to report
online anti-social behaviour incidents.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with project management
experience to work with the development team, and establish operational
processes to enable this exciting project to be launched. The successful
candidate will have at least 2 years’ knowledge and experience of working
with a major GIS system in a Public Sector environment, or other relevant
background. You must also have experience of Windows XP and Microsoft
Office applications. Some knowledge of Oracle Spatial would be beneficial.
You will be a resourceful self-starter, take a logical, methodical
approach, with excellent negotiation and communication skills (both oral
and written). You will also possess a full driving license and be fully
mobile.
