We are seeking an assistant to conserve and document to NMAS standards a
recently donated collection of chalk fossils in the Natural History Department
of Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery. Applicants will need to have at least
one year’s experience in museums, either with geology/palaeontology or museums
databases. You will need to be methodical and have a demonstrable ability to
assess and synthesise geological data to create searchable digital records with
a very high standard of fidelity and clarity. Excellent IT and keyboard skills
and experience of cleaning and conserving museum specimens would be
advantageous.
