Greetings all,
Recently experimenting with freesurfer, I noticed that its autorecon
scripts call MNI's N3 inhomogeneity correction. In the past I have used
fast to detect and correct inhomogeneity in T1 scans. Two questions:
1) Are the similarities and differences between the fast and N3
algorithms known?
2) Has anyone attempted an empirical comparison of the two?
thanks,
Stephen
