I'm not sure I know enough about cygwin to answer this properly, so
Steve might correct me, but
I guess that cygwin itself does not know about both processors. I
guess that all programs run from within cygwin are running on a
single processor.
Is this right Steve?

No - it is the basic log-linear fit, so it doesn't apply any
constraints, but the wonderful Jesper Andersson has written some very
clever code which
does. This will be in the next dtifit release,
