I don't think you can do this at all in a sensible way - the rendered
files contain the image intensity of the bg image and the overlay
images scaled into different intenisity ranges so that the new values
map nicely into the colour look-up tables used by FSL (in ${FSLDIR}/
etc/luts ). While it's possible to convert the nifti file itself
you'd be facing the impossible task of teaching dicom the meaning of
FSL look-up tables ;). Is there anything you want to do with these
files which you can't do using 'slicer'?
