PhD Research Studentships
Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities
Loughborough is a research led University with an outstanding reputation for attracting external research money. A very important part of this is attracting and developing excellent post graduate students. Therefore, the University is currently establishing a Graduate School to enhance the experience of research students at Loughborough.
The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities includes departments with a 5* rating in the last Research Assessment Exercise and the Department of Social Sciences was recently selected for the Queen’s Anniversary Award.
Applications are invited for Faculty studentships, £10,5000 stipend plus tuition fees at the UK/EU rate, for study commencing October 2006, in disciplines covered by the following departments:
• Business School
• Design and Technology
• Economics
• English and Drama
• Politics, International Relations and European Studies
• Geography
• School of Sport and Exercise Sciences
• School of Art and Design
• Social Sciences
Applicants should note that they should also be applying for ESRC, AHRC, EPSRC and NERC funding where appropriate.
