Dear Alison
thank you so much for your warm response. I have had such positive
feedback for
this enquiry. You mention Manchester School of Design, I wonder if you are in
touch with Tim Dunbar who lectures at Manchester Metropolitan University? I
have mentioned this project to him and invited him to help me with it, as fine
artist. He is also involved in the establishing of sketchbooks as PDP evidence
for students of art and design.
I am definitely interested in keeping in touch with you and would love to see
the database. I find the whole subject of sketchbooks/journals
fascinating, not
only from a jewellery point of view but also from other disciplines. I am
currently doing a PhD in laser processing and my supervisor who is an
engineer keeps a sketchbook too, so you never know what goes on out
there!
Thanks you for your interest and I will get back to you in due time, i need to
take in all the information that is arriving and start curating this one !!
All the best and look forward to working with you.
