Dear Sarah
I am employed at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design and have
for the past 2 years been working with sketchbooks from across the board,
including jewellery sketchbooks. I have been in contact with Medlock Primary
School in Manchester who are using sketchbooks as thinking tools in an
amazingly creative way, and I have also made contact with a member of the
School of Design in Manchester about developing sketchbooks.
I have a huge database of sketchbook imagery as well as access to superb
books from all areas of the art school here, and the collection is
constantly expanding.
I would be very interested in contributing to any exhibition you might
stage, and would welcome any further information from you.
At the moment we are trying to write the use of sketchbooks as cross
curricular thinking tools into the Curriculum for Excellence in Scotland.
Please do get in touch
Very best wishes
Alison Mountain
