Hi Paul
Further to my last email I have just spoken to the publishers directly
and they have said that they get a lot of enquiries of this nature, for
this very book, but unfortunately the book is not available
electronically - there is nothing that they can do other than to suggest
it is photocopied or scanned.
Thanks
Katie

Dear Katie,
Sorry for ignoring your "off-list" request, but I was curious to know
what kind of trouble you have had with your approach to the publisher,
and thought that this would be worth sharing. I'm interested because I
hear this regularly, though never--or hardly ever--experience it myself
when dealing with publishers. It can be time-consuming, but I don't
really get straight refusals. Please share.
Paul.

Subject: Books
Hi
We are really struggling with what seems to be a very straight forward
issue. One of our students who is studying an Access course, Psychology
and Life Sciences, and is blind, needs an electronic or disk copy of a
book, Psychology by Richard Gross, published by Hodder Arnold.
Our library staff are currently chasing this up with the publishers and
are apparently having no luck. I have been advised that we can get an
older edition of this book via the RNID audio books, however, find it
hard to believe that it is not possible to get a disk copy of this book
as we have with many others.
Can anyone offer me any advice? Have you managed to get this book as an
electronic copy - I am told it is the bible when it comes to Access to
Psychology courses.
Please reply off list.
Kind regards
Katie
