Maybe someone has already mentioned this here, and I just missed it. I
just stumbled on a new (to me) search engine in the UK.
<http://www.searchmedica.co.uk/searchmedica/>
It has an interesting twist, in that it claims to allow you to search
content selected by doctors, GPs in particular. However, to my
astonishment, a simple search for "colon cancer" retrieved over 12,000
hits, even when limited to "medical sites chosen by GPs". Where did they
find a selection team of doctors who had time to review 12,000 links on
one topic? The ranking seemed a little off, too.
So I checked their "board of experts". The page said:
"We're in the process of setting up an independent and representative
advisory board of GPs to help us guide SearchMedica s development and
ensure we provide you with the best possible service. Full details of
membership and terms of reference will appear here when the board is up
and running."
Anyone know the story here?
