I just noticed this problem, on both the new portable dual core CPU
and the Pentium IV with hyperthreading. Under the SMP versions of the
linux kernel-2.6.16, when we try to run winbugs under wine, this crash
happens:
$ wine /usr/local/share/WinBUGS14/WinBUGS14.exe
fixme:seh:check_no_exec No-exec fault triggered at 0x401000, enabling
work-around
fixme:seh:check_no_exec No-exec fault triggered at 0x404cf5, enabling
work-around
err:seh:setup_exception nested exception on signal stack in thread
0009 eip 40d9dfc8 esp 7ffddc80 stack 0x7fa81000-0x7fc90000
On the exact same systems, we reboot to the non SMP version of the
kernel and winbugs runs fine.
Now,the details. The Fedora SMP kernels we have tested are:
kernel-smp-2.6.16-1.2111_FC5
kernel-smp-2.6.16-1.2122_FC5
with
wine-0.9.13-2.fc5
What do you know?
