for any BUGS Users with a quarter of an hour to spare...
If you get a chance to look at this I'd be very grateful - especially if
you can point out where I'm going wrong! A brief description - I'm
running (or trying to run) a spatio-temporal epidemiological model
(response is disease incidence). There are 23 "zones" measured over 11
years. I want to model the space-time effect with a car.normal based on
adjacencies. I've indexed each zone_year separately, looping though 253
times (not a double loop of 23 times 11, but one loop up to 253), then
specifying the "neighbours". These are spatially neighbouring zones in
the same year (spatial neighbours) and the same group a year either side
(temporal neighbours). I've given different weights to the spatial and
temporal neighbours (1 and 2 respectively in this example)for the
autocorrelation - eventually I want to put the temporal weight in itself
as a random variable, but one step at a time. I've also included a
covariate, femprop, which is expected to have an influence on incidence.
I run this and get the trap message "index out of range" - I've looked
and looked and can't find any inconsistencies with the indexing and
vector lengths. Banging my head against a wall and there's no-one here
can advise. So if you find a quick solution that would be really
appreciated.
thanks in advance,
Neil
