Dear Bugs users,
I want to model a stochastic birth (no death) process in which at fixed
times I observe population sizes taking discrete values. Unknown is the
growth rate, with nuisance parameters given by times at which the population
is incremented by 1. The probability of increment in the short time dt is
given by:
P(N+1, t+dt |N,t)=lambda N dt
I am sure that this can be set up similarly to the Cox process example, but
I am not too sure how to formulate in the WinBUGS language.
Has anybody got any experience or sample code? Thank you!
