I would like to announce the re-launch of 'reception'. After nearly one and
half years of continual struggle to produce a second issue on the same model
as the first we are very nearly there. That second issue will include poetry
from Italy (Christian Sinicco, Elisa Biagini, Gherardo Bortolotti, Florinda
Fusco, Stefano Massari, Renato Morresi, Luigi Nacci, and Sara Ventroni) and
poetry and translations from a number of poets including Anne Blonstein,
Adrian Clarke, Doug Jones, Aodhan McCardle, Neil Pattison and Josh Robinson.
However, in the interests of keeping the magazine going, and getting more
'experimental' translations published, 'reception' will also now include
non-special issues publishing a range of translated poetries, reviews of
translation, and articles on the theory and significance of translation as a
writing practice. That said, the journal will continue to feature special
issues, of which the following will be on young performers and poets in
Sweden.
In the meantime, however, please send me your translations, reviews and
articles for a new issue.
Very best wishes as ever,
Piers
