Write Side of the Brain is "an inclusive event of new
writing by a selection of exciting practitioners,
including one act plays, performance poetry and/or
performance art".
http://www.missfitproductions.org/currentproductions.htm
It runs from Tues 16th to Sunday 21st of May at the
Barons Court Theatre, 28A Comeragh Road, London W14
9HR, tel 020 8932 4747 (Tube: Barons Court & West
Kensington)
The opening show (Tues 16th May at 7pm) is dedicated
to performance poetry and includes Ernesto Sarezale's
"In the name of the flesh".
Ernesto presents his own brand of ‘erotic
magic realism’ in an act combining poetry, story
telling and performance. The body takes centre stage,
literarily and literally, in a satirical, sexually
charged show dealing with intimate relationships and
life in the city at the turn of the century. The
humorous incidents, surreal encounters and confused
identities acted out in the performance are presented
from the point of view of a gay man, yet they have
universal appeal and are aimed at a broad adult
audience. (Tuesday 16th of May 2006 at 7.00 pm)
