One Day BMVA symposium in London, UK on 31st May
Chairs:
Dr Paolo Remagnino, Sergio A. Velastin and Prof. Tim Ellis
Digital Imaging Research Centre (DIRC), Kingston University
Ambient Intelligence (AmI) is an emerging paradigm, concerned with the
design of user centered intelligent environments. AmI is innovative because
it brings together a number of research fields with the common goal of
developing intelligent Human-Environment interactions (HEI).
This one day meeting will maintain the momentum of initiatives DIRC started
in 2003, with events and publications (see www.ambientintelligence.net).
The day will focus on Computer Vision techniques to be employed either as
components/modules of a larger, existing or feasible AmI system, or
computer vision techniques in combination with other modalities, such as
audio, speech and/or other sensorial information. We encourage submission
of papers on the following topics: single and multi-camera behaviour
analysis, interpretation of extremely cluttered scenes, information fusion
methods, models of people interactions, compression techniques for large
data streams. Other complementary and innovative research topics falling
within the AmI remit will also be welcome
Please submit an extended summary of about one A4-sized page (no longer
than two pages) in length (PDF preferred). Send contributions by email
attachment (1Mb max please!) to Dr Paolo Remagnino
([log in to unmask]) by 15 March 2006.
