Merv,
My first guess would be they have a firewall with the ports that the virtual
classroom needs blocked. Or if you can not access you virtual classroom off
campus then the issue would be at your end.
We have used WebEx 'incoming' on occasion very successfully through our
firewall as it only needs port 80 so that could be an option.

Subject: Virtual Classroom
Hi Folks,
I have been asked by the Yorkshire BbUG to do a session on using the virtual
classroom on Thursday this week, but I cannot get to the meeting in
Pontefract due to other college commitments. So, I thought why not run the
session via the Virtual Classroom....but
Colleagues in Pontefract College have tried opening a VC from within one of
our course sites and I have tried opening a VC from within one of their
sites with no success. What seems to be happening is that the JVM only
partially loads and then the system just hangs.
Has anyone either
a) successfully accessed the VC on someone else's Bb installation from
outside that institution or
b) have any suggestions that could help resolve this problem.
regards
merv
