Andy,
Is this via the Turnitin add-in or native blackboard? If former I don't
think the student can delete a submission. However if you set the
advanced option to "immediately - can overwrite" I think this would give
the effect you want. Not sure if "On Due date" allows overwriting. These
options can be changed retrospectively we have found, thankfully!

Subject: assignment submission
Dear All,
I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but, once a student uploads an
assignment using the assignment manager can they remove it and upload
another? I'm hoping they can - classic problem, course with 150 students
so the instructor doesn't want to manage emails from students requesting
that he clears the attempt to allow them to re-submit
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Andy
