Agreed. Lots of cool things to look into in 7.3. Quite excited about it
really. Perhaps this will get solved in a minor release somewhere along
the line...
I don't really mean to complain. It's just I'd expect features to
improve, not change for the worse. My big bugbear is UI. The way I see
it is that technology is difficult enough for the end user without bad
UI also getting in the way.
Anyway, hi ho hi ho... It's off to migration we go... ;-)

I havent found any settings yet, but it would be nice if there were
some. The default of course name search instead of course id is bugging
me.... Though I've switched back a couple of times now to 6.3 and it
feels like 5 did once I'd got used to 6. THere are bits that seem
un-done, but there's loads to be chuffed about.
Especially, and as far as I can see not highlighted in documentation,
but as valuable a reason for upgrading if ever I saw one is that you can
set the (unavailble) to show to students too in the My Courses
lists..... Gone are the days of I can't see my module even if there's
nothing in it!

Subject: [BLACKBOARD-USERGROUP] Admin Course List in BB 7.1
Hi
We've been playing with 7.1 in advance of migrating to it. We find the
admin course list deeply annoying compared to the one in 6.3, does
anyone else?
I'll explain...
In 7.1 when courses are listed they also list instructors and students
in the same row as the course name. I am sure this would be quite useful
except that one lists the users in a horizontal line hence spreading the
page across a very long horizontal scroll. The other lists them with
line breaks in between. This makes every course listing row very deep
and you have to scroll down quite far to get to the next course in the
listing. In addition the rows are valigned centre, so this means that if
you have hundreds of students or tens of instructors on one course (like
we do) then the course name is half way down the row. A real pain.
A one line row (or even a few lines) with course details I could deal
with. We used to find the course admin list quite useful. Not sure that
will be the case anymore.
I've looked for settings to customise the view, but not found any just
yet. If anyone has any suggestions they'd be gratefully received.
