Hi,
I stored a series of images (as Items) in a folder within the "Content Materials" area in a module. I made the folder unavailable.
I created Items in a number of content areas and for each item used the WYSYWYG <html> option to create a table with a URL reference to the image in column 1 and some text in column 2. I created a total of 20 such items, some in Course Infromation, Course Materials, External Linkis, etc.
This was ok and worked fine within the University. I provided access to the module for a number of colleagues in other institutions but they could not see the images.
Whilst speaking to one of my colleagues about this problem I made the folder containing the images available and hey presto he could see the images in the Content Materials area but not in the other areas, ie Content Information, External Links etc.
I then made the image folder unavailable again thinking that he would not be able to see the images but NO he could still see the images that had appeared after I had made the image folder available.
This is weird.
I would be grateful if anyone could assist in explaining what is going on here.
regards,
Arthur Loughran
PS As a further test I added two of the images to the Content System, made them Public, and within the Item <html> code referenced the location in the Content System. My colleague could see the images immediately.
