Announcement and Call for Papers or Posters

If you are interested in presenting a paper and/or poster at the
International Symposium ‘Biomimetics and Biomechanics - Smart
solutions from Nature’ please submit an abstract to the SEB (details
below). According to the number and contents of incoming abstracts
the organisers will decide on the presentation of a contribution as
oral presentation or poster.

The symposium is organized by Thomas Speck (Freiberg), Julian Vincent
(Bath) and Johan van Leeuwen (Wageningen) on behalf of the
Biomechanics section of the SEB and the German Bionics Competence
Network BIOKON e.V. The symposium will take place on 3rd and 4th
April as a part of the Annual Meeting of the Society for Experimental
Biology in Glasgow.

The aim of the symposium is to bring together researchers from
various fields of science working on biomimetic projects related to
biomechanics. The symposium will include talks showing the process
from basic research in the field of biomechanics to a biomimetic
product on various levels of technical realisation as well as talks
on the theory of biomimetics and how to implement biomimetics
successfully into business and education. For more detailed
information on the symposium refer to:

http://www.sebiology.org.uk/Meetings/pageview.asp?S=2&mid=&id=645

Abstracts have to be submitted to the SEB latest on 12th January
(Abstract Submission Deadline: 12th January 2007)

Online submission can be easily done by following the instructions
given in

http://www.sebiology.org/abstract/abstract1.aspx?meetid=21

To take advantage of the price reduction for "early bird" booking you
have to register before 9th February:
