Hi Ian,
I use the grid for computer access all the time with my clients who are predominantly adults with acquired brain injury or who are 'locked in'. I find it an excellent piece of software and, having seen the new version due to come out in September (I think), I think it will be even better. It's very easy to set up and comes with a large library of pre-set grids for computer access. It has a lot of options for switch access which allow you to fine tune scan speeds, delays etc.
Having said that, I have just downloaded the new version of SAW from the Ace Centre and am looking forward to experimenting with that - it looks good. Was there anything specific you wanted to know about the grid?

Subject: The Grid software
Hi
Does anyone have any comments or experiences of The Grid software (Sensory
Software Int.) as a computer access solution (via joystick and switches) for
a student in HE with CP (athetoid and dystonic- very difficult to control
hands but some success in controlling joystick mouse and possibly using
footswitches).
Ian Francis
