Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anybody knew what the status of the VIM project
that is being created by Cambridge University's engineering department
is?
There's a link to it here:
http://www.eng.cam.ac.uk/news/stories/2006/VIM/
It appears to be some kind of gesture recognition system, that uses a webcam.
According to the press release there should be a downloadable version
of it available, but I've not been able to find anything. I also tried
emailing a couple of the people who worked on it, but no joy so far.
And by way of an introduction:
I'm a PhD student in the computer science department at Sussex
university, looking at ways of making artistic technology accessible
to users with complex disabilities. And if anyone on this list has
experience of this kind of thing, or is simply interested, I'd love to
hear from you!
Thanks,
Cian O'Connor
