Has anyone found a solution to the problems caused by the use of stand
aid type hoists with powered wheelchairs with central kerb climbers?
The only wheelchairs with side mounted kerb climbers seem to be the
Lomax chairs which do not meet the needs of the local environment and
usage of the client. The Pride chairs are a possibliltiy but we have
not yet tried one and it is likely that the two front wheels will be
incompatible.
We need a chair that is up to heavy use, can be hoisted and fit into an
estate car, and is compatible with the stand aid hoist.
Any suggestions gratefully received!
