Liberator do a switch controlled CD player
I thought to try a switch to a timer (toy controller) on it but haven't
as yet.
Good job since as you point out it wouldn't work.
So other than constructing a little thingy to give a timed pulse or
using a computer CD player no, sorry.
If you were to go down the computer route Chris Hopkins has written a
program using Opus that will play any CD in timed mode, you can set the
timing, on/off switching or switch hold, play tracks at random, choose
particular tracks or parts of tracks and so on.
Just pop any music CD in the computer and set the switch to send return.
It has some basic animations to accompany the music which you can add to
or remove.
Runs on any Windows computer.
