Seven Stories is the home of a fast-growing, nationally important
collection of manuscripts, artwork and related archive material, by
Britain’s foremost writers and illustrators for children.
Archivist (full time for 2 years)
You will play a leading role in an innovative project to unlock the
potential of the Seven Stories Collection. The Storylines project involves
cataloguing, preserving and selectively digitising material from our
Collection to make it accessible to a wide range of audiences. You will
work as part of a small inter-disciplinary team and will contribute to
every aspect of the project, including education and outreach initiatives
and the development of online access.
You will be a qualified archivist, enthusiastic, well-organised and self-
motivated, with a high level of IT literacy and a demonstrable commitment
to making collections accessible. You will have an interest in children’s
books and be sympathetic to the aims and ethos of Seven Stories.
Experience of working with literary archives will be an advantage.
