THE NATIONAL PORTRAIT GALLERY, ARCHIVE & LIBRARY ASSISTANT
Salary £17,883 per annum
The National Portrait Gallery houses a unique collection of all forms of
portraiture of the people who have made or who are currently contributing
to British history and culture. With more than 1.5 million visitors each
year, the Gallery is one of the country’s most important and popular
galleries.
You will work as part of a small team responsible for maintaining our
information resources and providing an information service to curators and
the public. This post will also assist the Archivist/Records Manager in
managing the Gallery’s record-keeping responsibilities. Along with good
interpersonal and communication skills, you should have a strong interest
in history or art history and you may be considering a career in the
archives profession.
