Apologies for cross-posting.
We have some departmental storage areas with large water pipes and in one
case a storage tank above them. Removing the records is not an option for
the moment as they are in constant use.
Has anyone experience of flood alarm valves to shut down systems, methods
of channelling possible leaks away from the shelving or any other relevant
mitigation (apart from all the good house-keeping stuff: off-floor, clear
top shelf, boxing, monitoring, up-to-date disaster planning etc; scanning
is about to halt additions, at least). Pros, cons, costs, suppliers…?
Thanks
Miriam
