Archivist – Artists’ Studio
The studio of a well-known international contemporary artist requires a
professional archivist to develop, build and manage a comprehensive digital
and physical archive of the artists’ works.
The candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team,
possess excellent practical knowledge of relevant IT systems and scanning
skills, with an interest in applying new technology to archival practice.
You will also play a key part in the realisation of any forthcoming
catalogues or publications; including the sourcing and provision of imagery
and materials.
The candidate must possess the ability to meet deadlines, have a meticulous
approach and excellent project management skills. Confident liaising with
key stakeholders, and excellent negotiating, influencing and communication
skills essential.
This is an ideal role for a candidate who is driven, can lead, build and
manage an archive, which needs significant attention and development. The
candidate should be a self-starter, resilient, able to work autonomously,
with the ability to lead a project from conception to completion.
Two years experience and professional qualification required in archiving,
or equivalent experience.
This is a one-year project.
