Some ten years or so the Society had a working party on such things. As ever, it came down to numbers - there were a lot more people in the Library Association (as it then was) than in the Society, the upshot was that there weren't enough of us to make it worth the publishers' while (or anyone else for that matter - we approached all sorts of people to see what kinds of discounts we could get).

A look at the Facet catalogue shows that their publications are offered at a
reduced rate to CILIP members but not members of the Society of Archivists.
Is this something that the Society could take up with the publisher?
