I have been asked to post this message, having obtained permission from the
List owners, on behalf of Richard Norman. Richard's message can be read as
follows:
Up until 2004 my wife and I ran a book bindery in Somerset, we now have a
website at www.edenworkshops.com
In 2004 we took early retirement and came out here to Southern France to
live. We had to bring a lot of our papers with us and it is with regard to
three of these papers that I am writing to you in the hope that they may be
of some interest to you, I simply no longer have the space to store these
papers in my small workshop, I have no choice but to sell them.
All of these papers are as new and have been stored in favorable conditions
in damp proof wrappers since we bought them some years ago.
The first paper in question is a mould made, conservation grade, pure rag,
acid free, lightweight (65gsm) antique laid repair paper, it is very
similar in appearance and quality as the Bodleian repair paper. The sheet
size is 19 x 28 inches, the colour is off white ivory. The paper comes in
mill packs of 250 sheets, I am asking only £250.00 per mill pack, or
£125.00 for 100 sheets.
I also have an archival quality, wove bookend paper of 160gsm. It is an
wood free/acid free paper, alpha cellulose stock, off white/ivory in
colour, the sheet size is 70cm x 100cm long grain. The paper is packed in
500's, I have only 2500 sheets of this paper, I forget exactly what we paid
for this, but I would be happy to accept £300.00 per 500 sheets.
I also have a Heritage quality acid free/wood free paper of 200gsm weight,
sheet size 56cm x 76cm long grain I have quite a lot of this paper, 16000
sheets, I would be happy to accept £300.00 per 500 sheets.
I should be happy to send you samples of these papers if you could give me
a mailing address.
If interested I look forward to hearing from you.
Happy Christmas
Richard Norman
