Dear all
I just received "Australian seeds: A guide to their collection,
identification and biology" (eds Luke Sweedman and David Merritt,. 2006.
CSIRO Publishing; ISBN 0 643 091327). It is a book aimed at seed scientists
and gene bankers, but has a very useful colour photo catalogue of
Australian seed types. It is available from CSIRO Publishing in Australia
for $99.95 (that's Australian dollars) (see
http://www.publish.csiro.au/nid/20/pid/5281.htm). It is invaluable for
those working on Australian material and seed collectors, though the
catalogue of seeds is arranged by genus in alphabetical order, making
comparison of genera within one family somewhat difficult and it lacks
written descriptions of specimens.
Cheers
Andy
