ANNOUNCING H-Pentecostalism: H-Net Network for Pentecostal Studies
Member of: H-Net: Humanities and Social Sciences Online
To subscribe, please check
http://www.h-net.org/lists/subscribe.cgi?list=H-Pentecostalism
H-Pentecostalism serves as an online forum for communication and interaction among scholars regarding all aspects of Pentecostal history. The network is comprised of individuals from a variety of fields associated with the Humanities, including but not limited to ethnic studies, gender studies, history, historical theology, religious studies, and various social sciences. It seeks to enhance discussion of methodology and historiography related to the study of Pentecostalism in both local and global contexts. H-Pentecostalism also functions as a venue for teaching ideas/methods related
to the topic of Pentecostalism.
Importantly, the network is not to be used for proselytizing, witnessing, or arguing for one's personal
religion. In other words, the forum is not a venue for explicitly theological debates animated by a desire to demonstrate the validity of one's personal religious convictions. Rather, H-Pentecostalism is dedicated to increasing an awareness of the influence and development of Pentecostalism in all its dimensions throughout its entire history.
H-Pentecostalism services include general dialogue, sharing of references, syllabi, and other materials, reviewing of relevant books, and journals.
Like all H-Net lists, H-Pentecostalism is moderated to edit out material that, in the editors' opinion, is not germane to the list, involves technical matters (such as subscription management requests),
is inflammatory, or violates evolving, yet common, standards of Internet etiquette. H-Net's procedure for resolving disputes over list editorial practices is Article II, Section 2.20 of our bylaws, located at: http://www.h-net.org/about/by-laws.php
H-Pentecostalism is currently edited by Joseph Williams and Gene Mills.
