QUALITATIVE RESEARCHER FOR TANZANIA
Contract until June 2010
SEXUAL HEALTH RESEARCH IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES
An exciting and challenging opportunity for a social sciences graduate (with
at least 4 years post-graduate research experience) to further their career
attached to MRC SPHSU, a leading public health research establishment. You
will either be based in Mwanza, Tanzania, with 2-3 visits p.a. to Glasgow,
UK, or based in Glasgow spending at least 4 months p.a. in Mwanza. The post
is available from September 2006. You will become actively involved in the
design and formative evaluation of community-based sexual health

The starting salary will be in the region of £25,000 to £27,000, with a
package for overseas travel. The research project you will be working on is

Reproductive Health, held with the London School of Hygiene & Tropical
Medicine.
Further details and an application form available from MRC Social and Public
Health Sciences Unit, 4 Lilybank Gardens, Glasgow G12 8RZ, quoting Ref DW1
or www.msoc-mrc.gla.ac.uk. Closing date is Friday 7 July 2006.
