CONTRACT: Biometrics Project Manager
Statistical Expert
12 months renewable contract
Job Summary:
To manage Biometrics projects through Contract Research Organisations (CROs)
and within the client
Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
* Conduct CRO evaluations and make recommendations for contract
placement
* Manage and monitor all Biometrics (statistics and Clinical Data
Management) activities being carried out by CROs, ensuring adherence to
relevant SOPs and regulatory requirements, and conduct during study audits
* Full drug development project team involvement for one or more
Development projects, to include input into, and collaborative development
of, clinical development plans; study designs; interpretation and
presentation of study results; and regulatory dossiers
* Support Non-clinical Development in providing statistical advice
and consultancy
* Develop in-house statistics processes and procedures
* Monitor industry trends in statistics and statistical software
Essential Skills & Capabilities:
* Several years experience in Biometrics roles (both statistics and
data management) within the Pharmaceutical Industry or within a CRO
* Previous people and project management responsibilities
* MSc in Statistics, chartered statistician preferable
* Working knowledge of early clinical development (phase I and phase
II) would be a distinct advantage
Technical Skills
* Working knowledge of SAS
Personal Attributes:
* Sound theoretical knowledge and established statistical software
user
* Excellent oral and written communication skills and the capacity
for working closely with colleagues from non-statistical disciplines

* Collaborative team orientated approach
* Excellent organisational skills with a self-motivated and
pro-active attitude
* Able to work under pressure, managing priorities without losing
sight of the broader strategic picture.
