Applications are invited for the above post in the Division of Statistics,
a unit that was graded 5A in the 2001 RAE. Candidates should be fully
committed to high quality teaching and have research strengths in some
branch of statistics or applied probability. Information about the

Salary will be within the range 28,009 - 37,643 GBP per annum (pro rata),
depending on qualifications and experience (salary can progress to 43,638
per annum (pro rata), subject to performance). This post is full-time,
but applications from qualified candidates wishing to work part-time
(minimum of 50% of the full-time hours) will be welcome. This post is
available from 1 September 2006, or as soon as possible thereafter, and
will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of one year.
