Lectureship in Statistics (multiple posts)

We would welcome candidates with research interests in any branch of
statistics, broadly interpreted. Academic staff in the 6*-rated
Statistics Group are expected and encouraged to carry out research and
teaching to an excellent standard.
The Department of Mathematics is one of the leading centres for research
and teaching in mathematical sciences in the UK, and offers a
stimulating and friendly environment with first-rate facilities.
The successful candidate will be appointed to the Lecturer B scale
according to qualifications and experience, and will be expected to
start in September 2006 or a date to be agreed.
Some of the lectureships are funded by SuSTaIn, a major Bristol
initiative in Statistics, funded by a signficiant EPSRC Science and
Innovation Award and also by the University of Bristol.
