Genetic Statistician
In the Cancer Research UK Genetic Epidemiology Division headed by Professor
Tim Bishop, you will work as part of a team of genetic epidemiologists and
statisticians, clinicians, and laboratory and computing staff on a range of
projects investigating the genetic epidemiology of cancer, cardiovascular
disease and other complex diseases. Approaches adopted include linkage
analysis and genome-wide association studies. Working in the statistics
group headed by Dr Jenny Barrett you will apply genetic statistical methods
in a variety of projects.
You should possess a good first degree or higher degree in a mathematical,
statistical or related subject and have some previous experience of data
analysis, preferably involving genetic statistical methods.
This full time position is available until September 2009
Research Assistant /Fellow R1B/R1A (£20,004 - £30,002p.a) depending upon
relevant experience
