Dear All
 
Our client is a global pharma company with an established and enviable
track record of research based development. They are based in Northern
Europe. They have now opened up the position of Principal Statistician:
 
As Principal Statistician:

. to contribute to design, analysis and value of clinical programs and
individual trials through all stages of clinical development
 
. Act as as a responsible Biometrics representative communicate with
regulatory agencies worldwide, contribute to preparatory meetings and
relevant submission dossier documents, 

. ensure harmonization during clinical development, registration and
after marketing approval by setting appropriate methodological
standards, and by providing input to all statistical analysis plans,
reports and publications related to the clinical trials on a global
basis 

. You will be the Biometrics project leader assign tasks to the
worldwide group of statisticians and statistical programmers working in
the project, and monitors and controls progress and quality of the
output. This will also include utilising relevant CRO services to attain
strategic and business goals.

. You will be responsible for achieving specified targets, both in terms
of time and quality. Conducts and/or coordinates integrated analyses of
trials in the project on efficacy, safety and risk/benefit for
registration/publication purposes, or exploratory investigations,

. you apply state-of-the-art statistical methods attuned with existing
regulator guidelines on a global basis. With your biostatistical
expertise you directly contribute to further optimization of clinical
research and development, and to the continuous improvement of
professional standards within Biometrics.
 
 
 
Requirements of the position are:
 
. Academic degree in mathematics or statistics, preferably PhD, with
thorough theoretical and practical knowledge of statistics (or
equivalent qualifications). 
 
. You have at least five years of experience in applying statistical
methods to medical, biological or related fields. 
 
. You are a team player, with strong communication skills and project
management experience and ability.
 
. An entrepreneurial spirit and innovative spirit would be appreciated.
