Post 1 - Addiction Research Group: RESEARCH/ DATA ANALYST
Primary Care Research using the General Practice Research Database (GPRD)
We seek a researcher to support the further development of our programme
of work on drug addiction and psychiatric illness, using the General
Practice Research Database (GPRD). This post will provide an outstanding
opportunity for researchers keen to develop high-level analytical
skills, using large medical datasets.
Applicants should be highly numerate and computer literate and be
experienced users of Microsoft Access. Knowledge of medical information
systems and statistical or epidemiological techniques, along with
excellent interpersonal and organisational skills are desirable.

Post 2 – Primary Care Musculoskeletal Research Centre:
RESEARCHER IN BIO-STATISTICS
We seek a statistician to support our MRC-funded research programme on
optimal management of osteoarthritis in primary care. You will work in a
team of bio-statisticians to provide high quality methodological support
to a series of projects. Sound knowledge of statistical techniques and
excellent interpersonal and organisational skills are required, as are
computer skills. Support and development opportunities will be provided,
including the ability to register for a research degree.
