The Global Biometric Sciences department currently is searching for a number
of:

 

Biostatisticians

 

My client offer a challenging career opportunity in a clinical/medical R&D
environment where science, integrity, and personal development go hand in
hand.  Compensation will be commensurate with the experience level of the
candidates as well as with the responsibilities related to the positions.

Thorough knowledge of statistical theory and methodology, especially as
applied to clinical pharmacology studies. Experience with pharmacokinetic
PK,population PK, or exposure response PK PD analysis would be an asset.
Good oral and written communication skills. Strong computing skills
including proficiency in SAS and S plus.
 

Position Description: 

 

Render biostatistics excellence, from both scientific and operational
perspective, in the design, planning, conduct, analysis, and report
preparation for Phase IV clinical studies and projects conducted through the
Global Medical Affairs department.  Provide biostatistics expertise to
regional and local markets by supporting scientific publications and
manuscripts, conceiving and delivering ad hoc statistical analyses for
pricing and reimbursement dossiers, and rendering statistical consulting
services.  Ensure scientific validity and overall quality of deliverables.
Develop and maintain statistical programs as necessary to perform analyses,
to prepare data displays, and to verify data accuracy.  Work in
cross-functional, international project teams to achieve results.  

 

Serve as an active member of multiple clinical pharmacology working groups.
Contribute to the design of clinical pharmacology studies of investigational
drugs, author statistical sections of study protocols, and perform the
subsequent statistical analyses. Present and discuss statistical issues and
results to clinical pharmacology colleagues and to all levels of
Pharmaceutical Research Institute management. Author statistical methodology
and results sections in Clinical Study Reports. Review and contribute to
Early Development programs for new investigational drugs. Contribute to the
professional vitality of the statisticians supporting Clinical Discovery and
the Pharmaceutical Research Institute by participating in internal and
external professional meetings. Enhance organizational performance by
participating in task forces studying internal processes.

 

 

Position Requirements: 

 

MSc or PhD in Biostatistics or Statistics with at least 1 years of relevant
experience with biostatistics in clinical trials, preferably Phase III
and/or Phase IV.  Capable to integrate statistical and biomedical concepts.
Demonstrated vast experience with major statistical software packages (in
particular SAS).  Candidates should be good team players, open to adopt
project standards, processes and requirements, and flexible to work on
diverse clinical projects in various disease management areas.  Excellent
communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential.
