Dear All
The 2006 Burwalls Meeting of UK Teachers of Medical Statistics will be
held on Wednesday 5th April to Friday 7th April 2006.
This meeting is being organised by Philip Sedgwick at St. George’s,
University of London.
As many of you know, traditionally all UK Medical Schools send a
representative to this annual meeting which has been held in
Bristol for over 20 years. The primary focus of this meeting is the
teaching of medical statistics in Medical Schools although
other sessions of general interest are also covered.
The cost for the meeting has been set at 180 pounds sterling. Spaces are
limited. Please would you make a note of the above
dates and circulate them around interested people. Programme and booking
details will be circulated soon. It would also help
me if you could send me the name and address of the person who has
overall responsibility for delivering the statistics teaching to
medical students in your Institution.
Confirmed speakers include:
Mike Campbell, University of Sheffield. (After Dinner Speaker)
30 years of Medical Statistics: what has changed and what hasn't
