MEDICAL STATISTICIAN (1 YEAR FIXED TERM)
Salary Scale: RA1A £20,044 - £30,002
A medical statistician is required to provide high quality support to
research carried out by healthcare professionals within the Research and
Development Consortium of the University Hospital of North Staffordshire
and the North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust. The post will
include the holding of consultancy clinics to advise on design and
analysis, the provision of teaching sessions, and contribution to grant
funded research projects. Where appropriate this would lead to
publications and collaboration on further grant applications. The post is
funded by the North Staffordshire Research and Development Consortium and
is for one year initially.
You must have a higher research degree in medical statistics, health
services research, epidemiology or a related discipline, and a proven
ability to write up and communicate research findings. You should be able
to liaise effectively with healthcare professionals and to work
successfully within a multi-disciplinary team.
