The department of Primary Care & Population
Sciences (PCPS) at University College London is
one of the largest and most prestigious
departments of its kind in Europe. Our primary
care mental health and e-health research group
wishes to recruit an experienced statistician to
join a multidisciplinary research group working
across the interface between PCPS and the MRC
General Practice Research Framework (GPRF). The
post holder will capitalise on the opportunities
of national and international research
significance arising from the collaboration
between PCPS, the Medical Research Council’s
Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) and the MRC GPRF, as
well as the well-established links with UCL’s
Department of Mental Health Sciences. The post
will be based at the department’s Hampstead
Campus. The post holder will be responsible for
managing the statistical aspects of specific
studies co-ordinated by the group, including
design, data analysis and publication, and will
work in close collaboration with senior
statisticians within our department. A limited
amount of teaching is also included in the
role. Applicants should have a PhD or equivalent
in statistical science and some experience in
analysing data from large databases. You should
also be able to demonstrate an active research
portfolio and publications in peer-reviewed
journals. The post is available for two years
initially, renewable depending on satisfactory
performance and continued funding. Further
