Research Associate for the Medical Research Council's Cognitive Function and
Ageing study
£20,044-£30,002 per annum
Limit of tenure - 31 January 2008
Applications are invited for the above post. The post-holder will have a
statistical/numerate qualification preferably at a higher degree. A PhD,
either awarded or due for completion, in a numerate subject or three years
post-graduate experience is desirable. Demonstrable statistical analysis
expertise is required together with a research background. Excellent
verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are also required.
The post-holder will be expected to work in collaboration with others as
well as independently in his/her area of expertise and will be responsible
for one discrete research area. The research will involve detailed analysis
of data collected by the MRC Cognitive Function and Ageing Study. The data
resource allows for longitudinal and cross-sectional analysis of ageing
including cognitive change and disability.
