Applications are invited for the post of Research Assistant to work at
the Cancer Research UK Epidemiology Unit, based at the University of
Oxford's Old Road Campus, in Headington.
The postholder will be involved in the planning, analysis, and
interpretation of epidemiological studies on common cancers. You will
have a graduate or postgraduate qualification in epidemiology, and have
an interest in developing your skills while researching the etiology of
common cancers.
The ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team, and be a self-starter
with the drive to take initiatives forward to completion are essential
skills. It is desirable that you would have experience of analysing
epidemiological data and presenting the results of research in both oral
and written formats in a peer-reviewed environment.
The post is offered on the RSIA scale (£20,044 - £30,002 p.a.) but if no
suitable applicants are identified on the RSIA grade then the post may
be offered on the RSIB (£20,044 - £25,565 p.a.) scale with an
appropriate change in duties.
