Hello
Apologies for cross post
I am seeking information on doing meta-analyses of prevalences, in particular, tests of the equality of variances for multiple prevalences.
To give a little detail, I have data from c. 25 studies of the prevalence of Hepatitis C in non-injecting drug users. We are probably not going to do a formal meta-analysis of the data, in part because it is clear that the prevalences are very different. But one of my co-authors wants a formal test.
The meta-analysis material I have seen always deals with some effect size such as odds ratios, mean differences or what-have-you.
Any help appreciated
Peter
