Senior Statistical Programmer
Location: Denmark
Contract length: 6-12 months+
Rate: Dependant on experience
Department: Biostats & Programming
Description:
The Senior Programmer works independently to assist in the production of
analysis plans and reports, in the SAS programming and quality control of
derived datasets, tables, listings and figures, provides technical advice to
clients and fulfils the project primary role within a designated project
team.
Responsibilities: -
1. Coordinate and lead a project team to successful completion of a
project within given timelines and budget
2. Interact with clients as key contact with regard to programming and
contractual issues
3. Perform QC of derived datasets, tables, figures and data listings
produced by other members of the department
4. Produce derived datasets and advanced summary tables, figures and
data listings using efficient SAS programming techniques
5. Assist in the production of analysis plans, derived dataset
specifications, statistical reports, statistical sections of integrated
clinical reports and other process supporting documents
6. Coordinate development of client Proposal documents
7. Represent the company at client marketing and technical meetings
8. Provide advanced SAS and/or relevant technical training to internal
clients
9. Proactively participate in and/or lead process/quality improvement
initiatives
10. Create standard macros and applications to improve the efficiency of
the department
Experience:
* Education: - First degree (undergraduate or equivalent) in a relevant
discipline is desirable, but not essential * Minimum Work Requirements: At
least 4 years SAS programming experience within the pharmaceutical * Good
SAS/macro, SAS/base
* Skills: Good analytical skills - Good project management skills -
Professional attitude - Good understanding of statistical issues in clinical
trials - Prior experience with SAS programming required -
Ability to work independently - Good mentoring/leadership skills Good
business awareness/business development skills
* Preferable: SAS/graph or SAS/stat.
