Applications are invited for three one-year Temporary Lectureships
within the Department of Mathematical Sciences, from 1 October 2006 or
such date as may be arranged.
The University of Durham is one of the UK's leading universities, with
a strong commitment to both research and teaching. The Department of
Mathematical Sciences has an active programme of internationally
recognized research in a broad range of areas, and runs several
popular degree programmes with a very high quality student intake. The
Department currently has 53 academic staff, conducting research in
Pure and Applied Mathematics and Statistics and Probability. There is
a strong and active research environment, with many visitors and
seminars, fully supported by excellent computer and library
facilities.
The successful candidates will be expected to contribute to research
activities and to undertake teaching and administrative duties as
assigned by the Board of Studies of Mathematical Sciences.
